Car collision leaves woman with broken leg, others with minor injuries

BINTANGOR, Dec 16: A woman broke her leg while three others escaped with minor injuries after their vehicles were involved in a car accident at Jalan Batu 13 in Bintangor here.

The State Fire and Rescue (Bomba) department operation center said they received a call regarding the incident at 3.18pm today and deployed a team of eight firefighters from Bomba Bintangor led by PBK II Zulfaiza Mohamad.

“The incident involved a sedan and a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle, where the driver of the sedan vehicle, a 37-year-old woman, suffered a broken right leg, while three others which were passengers from the 4WD vehicle were left with minor injuries.

“The driver of the 4WD vehicle however escaped unharmed,” the statement said.

All the victims were helped out of their vehicles by passers by and sent to the Julau Health Clinic by ambulance.

Firefighters carried out a flushing operation at the scene to clear debris and oil stains on the road left after the incident to ensure the road was safe for other road users. —DayakDaily.
