KUCHING, Oct 9: Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (Cahya Mata) has unveiled new identity and logo, with the new focus on becoming a growing multinational corporation.

Cahya Mata, formerly known as CMS, was Sarawak’s first cement manufacturer, and since 1974, has grown to be a leading Bursa Malaysia-listed company, with its businesses focused primarily in Sarawak.

Group managing director Datuk Seri Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Abdul Taib said the rebranding reflects on Cahya Mata’s transformation to expand its presence globally.

“Over the last year, we have also geared up our management team and our operations to bring our company to new heights.

“We have strengthened accountability and integrity at all levels of the Board and senior management to build a stronger culture of governance across the group,” he said at a high-tea with the media at Waterfront Hotel here today.
