KUCHING, July 24: The Bung Bratak Heritage Centre in Bau here will be closed from today until further notice.
Bung Bratak Heritage Association (BBHA) chairman Datuk Peter Minos, in a press statement, today said the centre would be temporarily closed due to the worsening Covid-19 situation in Kuching and most hill trekkers and visitors going there were from the city centre.
“We deeply apologise to the hundreds of weekend hill trekkers and visitors from Kuching city and all other places for the inconveniences.
“When Covid-19 is no longer around, Bung Bratak will be opened again.
“We can assure that. We are closing it temporarily in the interest of public health and safety.
“This is done in support of the state government’s efforts in getting rid of Covid-19 from spreading,” he said. —DayakDaily
