KUCHING, March 27: The Bung Bratak Heritage Centre will be re-opening its doors to the public starting April 4, 2021, on a Sunday, but only day trips are allowed.
This was an announcement made by Bung Bratak Heritage Association (BBHA) chairman Datuk Peter Minos as he said night stays, camping, group meetings and conferences are prohibited.
“Once again trekkers and visitors can have their good and happy time at this famous top historical ecotourism site to enjoy the jungle mountain walk, beautiful fresh air, the spring water, Bidayuh cultural centres of longhouses and ‘baruk’, flora and fauna.
“But every trekker and visitors must strictly follow SDMC (State Disaster Management Committee)’s standard operating procedures (SOPs), which are, wearing face masks, recording temperature and providing basic personal details,” he said in a statement today.
Without compromise, he added, Bung Bratak’s operating staff would dutifully enforce these SOPs to ensure all day-trippers, trekkers and visitors strictly abide by the government’s anti-Covid-19 rules.
“This is our common effort in fighting against the silent but deadly virus, no compromise here,” said Peter. —DayakDaily
