He noted most of the trekkers and visitors to Bung Bratak are from Kuching and Kuching was declared a Covid-19 red zone yesterday. Thus, the centre will be temporarily closed for public health and safety.

“We at Bung Bratak apologise to our valued trekkers and visitors for any disappointment caused.

“However, as soon as Kuching area is declared a green zone by the government, Bung Bratak will be opened again.

“And the trekkers and visitors will enjoy their trekking, the fresh mountain air and spring water, mountain scenery, the jungle, flora and fauna, the waterfall and many other things connected to nature.

“We will continue to make Bung Bratak the best mountain spot there is, to be enjoyed by nature lovers, friends of the environment and history buffs,” he gave assurance. — DayakDaily
