KUCHING, Sept 21: The Bangsa Sarawak Nationalists (BSN) is calling members of the public to join and support their ‘In Quest of Independence Dinner 2019’ cum rally to be held on Nov 2, at Redeems Hall in Singai, Bau.

Organising chairman Alim Mideh said, in a press conference today, that the event is open to all Sarawakians who are interested to know, understand and appreciate their rights within the Federation of Malaysia.

“All bangsa negara Sarawak citizens ought to understand their actual and real situation as ‘unequal’ citizens in the Federation of Malaysia. Three prominent, experienced and concerned nationalists or what we called ‘perjuang’ (fighter) speakers will be there to enlighten us with the tricky formation of Federation of Malaysia,” he added.

The three speakers are Party Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) president Voon Lee Shan, Sarawak Association for Peoples’ Aspiration (Sapa) president Dominique Ng and former Mas Gading MP Patrick Anek Uren.

Alim shared that the speakers will also share their thoughts on the actual current situation in Malaysia, on who would benefit and at the expense of who, as well as empty promises given to the rakyat.

“They will also speak on the real purpose of Negara Sarawak and Sabah to colonialist Malaya and the way-forward,” he explained.

Tickets are available for sale at RM35 per person or RM350 per table of 10 people. There are also limited number of tickets at RM100 per person.

Urging Sarawakians to be generous over their common struggle, the organiser is also seeking for sponsors to pay for the printing of tickets and rental of necessary equipment for the dinner.
