BRUNEI, June 24: Sarawak Governor Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar had an audience with His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, at Istana Nurul Iman today which is part of the former’s three-day working visit to Brunei.
According to the news report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), also in attendance was Her Majesty the Duli Raja Isteri, Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam.
Accompanying Wan Junaidi was his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and his wife, Dato Dayang Morliah Datuk Awang Daud, and Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife, Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang, who arrived at Istana Nurul Iman at 11.30am.
After the meeting, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah drove Wan Junaidi in his car for a luncheon event at the palace, where other royal guests were also present.
After the luncheon, Wan Junaidi, his wife, and their entourage left the palace at 1pm.
Later, Wan Junaidi visited the Balai Khazanah Islam of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah at Jalan Pengiran Babu Raja and performed the ‘tahlil’ at the Royal Dining Dome before attending a dinner with the delegation.
On the third day of his official visit, Wan Junaidi and his entourage will visit the Brunei History Centre and explore the Sungai Brunei before returning to Sarawak at 2.30pm. — DayakDaily
