Bruneian on flight from KL to Miri confirmed of Covid-19

KUCHING, Mar 11:  A Bruneian flying from Kuala Lumpur to Miri on Mar 3 has been confirmed to be positive of Covid-19.

The Sarawak Health Department had identified the four passengers from Sarawak seated in proximity of him in the flight. 

They are now undergoing quarantine and are awaiting results of laboratory testing to confirm if they are affected or otherwise. 


The Sarawak Immigration Department and the Sarawak Health Ministry are tightening their health and entry screenings at all border Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) and points of entry. 

Sarawakians are also advised not to travel to countries and regions affected by Covid-19 for the time being. 

The Sarawak Health Department is again advising the public to observe the highest standard of personal hygiene. 

If they have flu, fever, coughing or difficulty in breathing, they are advised to seek immediate medical attention at their nearest hospital.
