KUCHING, Oct 19: The 40-door Rumah Panjang Langi at Jalan Pasar Siong Tengah, Sibu, caught fire in an incident this afternoon.
An early report from the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre revealed a team of 12 firefighters from Bomba Sungai Merah led by PKPgB Suna Kaha, supported by Bomba Sibu with the strength of seven firefighters led by PBK II Shahrulnizam was deployed to the location after receiving the emergency call from the Malaysian Emergency Response Services 999 (MERS 999) at 1.54pm today.
