Bomba rescues trapped man in car accident along Jalan Salim Stabau, Sibu

A man was extracted from the driver's seat of a car which crashed into a tree along Jalan Salim Stabau, Sibu.

KUCHING, Jan 30: The Fire and Rescue team (Bomba) extracted a male driver trapped in his car after it crashed into a tree along Jalan Salim Stabau, Sibu, late last night.

According to reports by Sarawak Bomba, they received a call about the incident at 11.05pm last night and Bomba personnel from the Sibu Sentral firestation were immediately dispatched to the area.

The trapped victim, a 30-year-old man, was found injured and trapped in the driver’s seat of the car.

“The fire department continued to carry out the operation to rescue the victim using special equipment, Rescue Tool.

“The victim was successfully extricated by the fire department and sent to the hospital using the Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) for further treatment,” it said.

After assessing that the situation is safe and under control, the team returned to the station. – DayakDaily
