KUCHING, May 25: The body of a fisherman who was reported missing was found in Sungai Annau, Tatau.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, the victim, Nicholas Daniel, 38, was found at 1.41pm today, about seven kilometres from where his boat was found on May 22.
“The deceased’s body was found with only the head intact, without any limbs,” it said.
After the body was retrieved, it was later handed over to the police for further action.
Based on chronology of the incident, the victim was reported missing on May 23, after his boat was found on May 22.
The victim’s family launched a search operation for him aided by longhouse villagers on the same day but failed to locate the victim. — DayakDaily
