KUCHING, Sept 14: The body of a 77-year-old man, who went missing since Sept 9, was found in the forest at Tondong area this morning.
The elderly man was pronounced dead after the search and rescue (SAR) operation team found his body lying in a puddle of water in the forest at 10.14 am.
The body was later carried out from the forest and sent to Bau Hospital.
The man was reported as missing on Sept 9 at 12.30 pm after he left his house on foot heading towards Tondong from Selalang. The missing man’s son had revealed his father would usually return to the house on his own or will be brought back by the people staying in Selalang and Tondong.
The man’s son decided to contact the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) after he failed to return home for two days on Sept 12. -DayakDaily
