KUCHING, Sept 23: The search operation for an Indonesian man who was feared to have drowned near Kampung Penasu in Daro on Sunday (Sept 21) came to an end on the third day of the operation today.
In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the search team received information from villagers that the victim was found by members of the public at around 8.30am today.
“Villagers also informed that the police have brought the victim’s body to Sibu Hospital for further action,” said the report.
The victim, known as Randi, was 22 years old and worked at a water treatment plant as a construction worker.
Authorities were told that the victim fell from a jetty while working on its construction at about 10.45am. — DayakDaily
