According to TVS Rebao, the discovery was made after members of the public noticed a foul odour emanating from the vehicle. Initial observations suggest she had been dead for several days.

Police have cordoned off the area to conduct a thorough investigation, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.

However, authorities have yet to confirm the identity of the deceased or release an official statement on the case.

Kuching District Police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu had earlier appealed on Tuesday (Oct 28) for public assistance regarding the missing woman, who worked as a saleswoman.

She was last seen leaving her home in Tabuan Laru in a Nissan Grand Livina last Saturday at around 3.30pm. At the time, she was wearing a white T-shirt and a black skirt.

Since her disappearance, family and friends had been reaching out on social media, appealing for information on her whereabouts. — DayakDaily
