KUCHING, Sept 17: Persatuan Kaum Bisitang Kuching (PKBK), a Bidayuh clan association will hold Entrepreneur Carnival 2023 this Oct 27 to 29.
The three-day carnival at Kampung Bangau will help to uncover the business potential of the people in the area, which has 13 villages under the association.
The group led by organising chairman Fredrick Jury today paid a visit to Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin at the latter’s service centre along Jalan Borneo Heights to inform him of the coming programme. Willie gave an RM20,000 allocation for the event.
“I am glad to note that the association has come up with such event to become a platform to help identify the business potential of the Bidayuh community from the area,” Willie told reporters at the handover of the cheque.
He believed that Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil is also willing to help with such an event to help the community.
“On my part, I will always try to help any Bidayuh associations wanting to hold such an event for the benefit of the people,” he said.
Willie stressed that it was important for the community to envisage themselves in the business sector, while at the same time also focus of self-development.
He hoped that such a carnival can be held annually. — DayakDaily
