KUCHING, March 13: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg witnessed the handover of business zakat for 2026 by Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) to Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here today.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), BPHB group chief executive officer Dato Ruslan Abdul Ghani presented the mock cheque to TBS general manager Datu Abg Mohd Shibli Abg Mohd Nailie during the ceremony.
Also present were Sarawak Secretary and BPHB chairman Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS) president Datuk Misnu Taha.
The zakat contribution reflects the corporate sector’s continued commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility while supporting efforts to uplift the welfare of the Muslim community in Sarawak through the zakat institution. — DayakDaily
