KUCHING, Nov 27: Bintulu MP Dato Sri Tiong King Sing proposed for the 18km road from Jalan Tun Hussein Onn to Jalan Tanjung Kidurong to be upgraded from four lanes to six lanes, including the Flyover Jalan Tanjung Kidurong to Jalan Nyabau.

According to Tiong in a statement today, the upgrading project has been long-awaited by the residents and should be included in the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK12).

He emphasised that the construction and development of the road will provide residents with a safe, comfortable, and convenient travel experience.

It will also enable the planning and implementation of the local economic development to run smoothly.

“I hope that this proposal gets a positive response from the Ministry of Works.

“On behalf of the people of Bintulu, I also requested that development projects under the ministry are being monitored and implemented well,” he added. — DayakDaily
