KUCHING, May 9: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit Bintulu and Miri today.
The areas involved are Bintulu, Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi, according to an alert issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) which is valid until 3pm today.
This type of alert is issued when there are signs indicating a thunderstorm with rain intensity of over 20mm/hour or for over an hour. — DayakDaily
