Bintulu FA beat Samarahan FA 3–1 in Piala Premier Sarawak clash

KUCHING, Feb 15: Bintulu FA defeated Samarahan FA with a score of 3–1 in the Piala Premier Sarawak 2025 match at Stadium Negeri Sarawak today, with second-half goals deciding the contest after a balanced opening period.

The first half ended 0–0 as both sides matched each other in possession and chances. Light rain during the match did not affect player performance or tempo.

Bintulu took the lead in the 51st minute when Badrul Hafiz Mohd Isa (No. 15) scored to put his side ahead. The advantage widened in the 56th minute after Shahmir Izat Sinang (No. 11) added a second goal, making it 2–0.

Samarahan reduced the deficit in the 64th minute through Muhd Zarif Razali (No. 16), who scored following a corner kick scramble inside the penalty area to bring the score to 2–1.

Bintulu secured the result in the 73rd minute when Mohd Haisal Yusuf (No. 5) netted their third goal, sealing a 3–1 win.

As champions, Bintulu FA received medals, a trophy and a cash prize of RM50,000, while runners up Samarahan FA were presented with medals, a trophy and RM30,000 in prize money at the post match presentation ceremony. — DayakDaily
