“We (the Gabungan Parti Sarawak government) are going to make a few amendments in relation to the Land Code.

“But presently, I am unable to make the announcement or reveal the information yet,” he said in response to a question from the press about the bills to be expected in the upcoming DUN sitting.

The Premier was met at his and wife Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at a hotel here today.

“Let us wait and see what will take place when the DUN sitting commences later on,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Premier also thanked all the multi-racial and multi-ethnic visitors who have gathered to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri at his open house on the second day of the celebration today.

“I am amazed to receive so many Sarawakians today as, after two years of not holding open houses, I feel that this will be the start to us living a near-normal everyday life.

“But I must still remind everyone to take good care of our health and ourselves even though the (Covid-19 pandemic) situation has improved,” he advised.

Abang Johari added that visitors have also expressed their satisfaction and happiness with what has been done by the Sarawak government pre- and post-Covid-19, noting that every Sarawakian’s sacrifices have also contributed to Sarawak’s road to recovery.

“I am confident after this, our economy will grow further, and economic activities will proceed smoothly. However, we have a few projects that the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed.

“But I am confident recovery will take place,” he said. — DayakDaily
