KUCHING, May 4: Beijing Beca Sci-Tech Co Ltd will proceed with its proposed integrated oil and gas project in Sarawak after obtaining satisfactory results from its soil investigation and sea surveys.
The top management from Beijing Beca has today briefed Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan of this latest development.
In a statement, the company has expressed its gratitude to Awang Tengah who is also the Minister for International Trade, Industry and Investment and the Sarawak government for their support and assistance throughout the process.
“The project is in line with the Post-Covid Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and the Sarawak government will facilitate the proposal,” Tengah assured the investor.
Deputy Minister of International Trade and Investment Datuk Dr Malcolm Mussen Lamoh, advisor to Small and Medium Enterprises Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais, permanent secretary to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Urban Development Datu Zaidi Mahdi, and Sarawak Energy Group chief executive officer Datu Sharbini Suhaili were among those present. — DayakDaily
