BAU, Jan 3: A bedroom of a two-storey house at Taman Mawar here was destroyed in a fire today.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said a team of firefighters from Bau Station was mobilised to the location following an emergency call at 3.47pm.
Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that a fire had broken out in a bedroom on the upper floor of the house.
The flames were successfully extinguished and firefighters also ensured there were no lingering sources of ignition before concluding the operation at 4.38pm.
The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage. — DayakDaily
