KUCHING, April 8: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman Lo Khere Chiang officiated at the earth-breaking ceremony for the Paya Mebi multipurpose Hall project at Jalan Landeh here today.
According to a press statement, this is an effort by the Sarawak government to benefit Batu Kitang residents.
The allocation of RM200,000 for the project is from the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), and it will be implemented by the state Public Works Department.
Meanwhile, upgrading of the football field of Kampung Paya Mebi as well as the widening of the road to SK Paya Mebi costing RM300,000 are in progress and are expected to be completed by the middle of this year.
These projects reflects the deep concern of the state government for the well-being of the people in terms of provision of infrastructure and basic facilities, the statement said. — DayakDaily
