Batu Kitang assemblyman: RM200,000 RTP allocation to replace SJK Chung Hua Mile 10 old roof

KUCHING, Oct 22: Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang today hands over a total of RM200,000 Rural Transformation Project (RTP) allocation to SJK Chung Hua Mile 10 to replace the old school rooftop.

Lo, who is also Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman, said the three month project, which will commence on Nov 3, involved the replacement of the roof in three block of the school, including other complementary works.

“We are going to have a new roof for SJK Chung Hua Mile 10, at the cost of RM200,000, and the project is funded by the State government under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) led by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg,” he told reporters after handing over the project to the contractor at SJK Chung Hua Mile 10 foyer, today.

He also reminded the contractor to ensure that their work is according to the standard.

“As far as MPP is concerns, contractors who doesn’t do a proper job, will not be given a chance for the next job. We will blacklist the contractor,” he added.

At the same time, Lo assured that he will continue to improve the basic infrastructure required in N13 Batu Kitang constituency.

“So, in the next five years, I am going to continue to do the same. I can see that we can do and improve even more things, as well as upgrading the standard of living for our people,” he said. — DayakDaily.
