KUCHING, June 19: Batu Kawah is the location of choice for house buyers across all socio-economic statuses— B40, M40, and T20—says Sarawak Deputy Premier Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
According to Dr Sim in a Facebook post today, 600 Spektra Permata units for B40 (RM90,000-160,000) will be built in Kampung Segedup, and 500 Sri Pertiwi units for M40 (RM300,000) will be built in Pines Square.
“Both types of affordable housing, with eligible first-time home buyers entitled to apply for the Sarawak government’s RM10,000 house deposit scheme,” he stated.
Dr Sim, who is also the Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government, explained that when P’ Residence, a 20-acre residential development with approximately 800 units started in 2014 and handed over in January 2017, each unit (over 1,200 square feet) was selling for RM275,000.
“Now, each similar unit is selling for over RM600,000,” he said.
He said that all P’ Residence home buyers have benefitted because house prices have increased since their purchase.
He also revealed the owners of a P’ Residence apartment won a new BMW 320 from the developer through a lucky draw. — DayakDaily
