Batu Kawa innovation hub project to start on Nov 16

KUCHING, Oct 31: The proposed RM9.8 million multipurpose sport and community hall project in the abandoned Ang Cheng Ho quarry in Batu Kawa will start on November 16, this year.

Minister for Local Government and Housing Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian said the project will involve a multi purpose sports and community Hall, together with an innovation hub which will be built during phase one.

“It will have a multipurpose hall with approximately 19,375 square feet that can accommodate about 1,000 people for an event, together with a basketball court and also an office space as an innovation hub to cater for young entrepreneurs,” he said in a statement today.

He added that the contract awarding represents the phase one transformation plan for the abandoned Ang Cheng Ho quarry.
“There will also be water sports, extreme sports activities, a recreation park as well as entertainment facilities in the future development plan,” he said. –DayakDaily.
