KUCHING, Nov 9: A fatal road accident along Jalan Simunjan Lama today claimed the lives of a Bangladeshi national and a local resident.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, a call alerting them to the incident was received at 3.26pm and firefighters from Bomba Simunjan were deployed to the location.
“Following their arrival, firefighters proceeded to extricate the victims who were pinned inside the vehicle, and both were later pronounced dead by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH) at the location,” it said.

It added that the deceased’s bodies were later handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
