KUCHING, July 12: Bangladesh is ready to collaborate with Sarawak, particularly in the area of providing skilled labourers.
According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia, His Excellency (TYT) MD Golam Sarwar, stated that the Sarawak government is also willing to hire workers from Bangladesh to assist with the implementation of the State’s development agenda.
“The Premier of Sarawak has assured us that he will support all cooperation, especially in the recruitment of skilled workers from Bangladesh to Sarawak for rapid development here,” he said after paying a courtesy call on Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
He went on to say that Bangladesh has skilled labour, such as engineers, who can assist Sarawak in meeting the goals of the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 plan.
