Bandar Baru Permyjaya in Miri to enjoy high speed internet by early 2022

MIRI, Sept 11: Residents in Bandar Baru Permyjaya Miri will be able to enjoy high internet speed once the installation of internet ports facilities at the Quadruplex unit in the area is completed early 2022.

In disclosing this, Minister of Transport Sarawak Datuk Lee Kim Shin said, the residents at the area will be able to enjoy fast and reliable high speed internet services after the installation process which will conducted by Telekom Malaysia Berhad is completed.

“A total of 2,800 ports facilities will be created around the area and once this (installation) completed it will not only benefited residents but also their children who are currently on home-based teaching and learning (PdPR)” he told reporters after visiting the residential area on Friday.

According to Lee, a month ago, several requests have been made by residents at the Quadruplex unit to install internet pots within the area.

He said most of the parents have expressed their worries and concerns that their children are struggling during their online learning session because of the poor internet connectivity within the area.

“Once the installations of the ports are completed, residents will be able to access the network and take advantage of the higher internet speed connection,” he added. – DayakDaily.
