KUCHING, Feb 7: In the spirit of the upcoming Chinese New Year, Dato Wee Hong Seng, Mayor of Kuching South City Council (MBKS), paid a special visit to the Tanah Puteh Health Clinic to honour healthcare frontliners for their tireless service to the community.
According to a press release, the mayor conveyed his gratitude to doctors, nurses, and medical staff for their unwavering service in safeguarding public health during the visit, which was made possible through the sponsorship of Kapitan Tan Teck Ming.
“Healthcare workers are the backbone of our community. Their professionalism, resilience, and compassion deserve our deepest respect and appreciation, especially as they continue to care for others during the festive season,” he said.
As a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, small tokens were presented to the medical staff, symbolising gratitude for their unwavering efforts and sacrifices.
Wee hoped that the visit would bring warmth and festive cheer to the Chinese New Year celebrations, while also extending his wishes for good health, peace, and well-being to the healthcare workers and the wider community.
