Awg Mohd Fadillah Awg Redzuan takes over as Sarawak EPU director

KUCHING, Jan 14: Sarawak’s Economic Planning Unit (EPU) has formally entered a new chapter with the official handover of its directorship, as Datu Ir Awg Mohd Fadillah Awg Redzuan assumed leadership from Datu Lester Matthew at a ceremony held here yesterday (Jan 13).

According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, the handing-over ceremony took place at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, marking the official transition at the Sarawak Economic Planning Unit. It was witnessed by Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel.

In his remarks, Muhammad Abdullah paid tribute to Lester’s tenure, citing his significant contributions in strengthening strategic planning, policy coordination and development initiatives under EPU Sarawak. He also commended Lester for maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism throughout his service.

Welcoming Awg Mohd Fadillah to the post, Muhammad Abdullah expressed confidence in the new director’s leadership, saying he would further advance Sarawak’s economic agenda in line with the aspirations of the Premier of Sarawak.

Lester, in his address, conveyed his appreciation to Muhammad Abdullah for the continued guidance and support during his tenure. He also thanked officers and staff of EPU Sarawak for their cooperation, dedication, and commitment.

Meanwhile, Awg Mohd Fadillah expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to leading EPU Sarawak with integrity and professionalism.
