BAU, May 1: The road access at Kampung Tembawang Sauh leading up to Bung Bratak Heritage Centre (BBHC) is too small and needs to be upgraded.

Sarawak Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (Creative Industry and Performing Arts) Dato Snowdan Lawan witnessed firsthand the traffic congestion at the village during Bung Bratak Day at the BBHC today.

“When I went into the village, the route from the main road up until the BBHC entrance was very congested with cars, including two or three large buses. I can also see that the road is probably a little bit small.

“Maybe in the future, Bung Bratak Heritage Association (BBHA) chairman Dato Peter Minos can request to upgrade the road to be made wider so that it will facilitate the traffic flow,” he said when officiating at the Bung Bratak Day event at the site today.

He also stressed that the ministry will continue to support the Bung Bratak Day celebration as it provides impetus for stability, understanding and tolerance.

Snowdan also announced a personal allocation of RM30,000 for Bung Bratak’s future activities.

Also present were Mas Gading MP Mordi Bimol, Minos and Temenggong Atok Derop. — DayakDaily
