KUCHING, July 11: Asic Mine Technology Company, in playing its part to help the needy community in this disastrous time of Covid-19, has sponsored food aid for about 300 needy household.
The food aid recipients who were made up by those from the nearby villages such as from Kampung Lumba Kuda and many others in MBKS surrounding areas received food aid at MBKS today.
“About 300 coupons were given for the handouts and 150 of the coupons are given to the nearby villagers, including those who are recommended by their head of the village and the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK),” MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng told reporters today.
He said the way Sarawakians dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic showed that they care for each other and everyone should be proud of it.
“Totally disregarding religions and races, everyone is helping each other. This spirit among Sarawakians should be encouraged,” he added.
Wee thanked Asic Mine Technology Company for its thoughtfulness and willingness to lend a hand to the needy at this difficult time. — DayakDaily
