Armed forces chief calls on Abang Jo

KUCHING, May 8: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from armed forces chief General Tan Sri Zulkifli Zainal Abidin yesterday to enhance ties between the state and the military.

Zulkifli was accompanied by First Division commander Maj Gen Dato Md Din Abu, Eastern Field Command commander Lt Gen Datuk Wira Zamrose Mohd Zain and Assistance Chief of Staff (Personnel Services) Maj Gen Dato Azlan Abd Rahman.

The visit, at the Chief Minister’s Office at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) complex here, was aimed at strengthening relations between the Sarawak government and the Malaysian Armed Forces.
