SIBU, May 9: Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel acted swiftly to catch and remove a python from a primary school here in the early hours of today.

APM Sibu head Wan Mohd Jabir said they received a call at about 12.02am concerning a snake which was resting under a table in a classroom at SJK Guong Ann.

“When our personnel arrived at the school 34 minutes later, they saw a python at the said location,” he said.


It took APM personnel about 50 minutes to subdue the 7-feet-long python weighing about 7kg.

The operation was ended at 1.20am. — DayakDaily
