MIRI, Sept 15: Five members of the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) turned “snake catchers” when a snake was spotted inside a house in Tudan Phase 1 here on Friday.

They managed to catch the two-and-half-foot-long reptile within minutes of arriving at the house.

Earlier, a 60-something man got a shock when he was about to enter the living room of his house at about 1.15pm. He saw a snake slithering on the floor.

Worried that it might be poisonous, he immediately instructed his family members to get out of the house quickly and then called APM for assistance. — DayakDaily
