API hits over 200 in Lubok Antu, most areas in Sarawak in ‘unhealthy’ level

KUCHING, Sept 20: Lubok Antu recorded an Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 202, placing it under the ‘very unhealthy’ category as of 4pm today.

According to data from the Natural Resources and Environment Board Sarawak (NREB), most areas in Sarawak recorded unhealthy readings, with Serian at the highest at 173.

This is followed by Samarahan (168), Kuching (166), Betong (160), Sri Aman and Kanowit (157), Bintulu (155), Sibu and Miri (153), Tebedu (152), Samalaju (131), Lundu (117), Limbang (116), and ILP Miri (106).

Meanwhile, Sarikei, Kapit, Bario, and Lawas recorded moderate readings at 98, 88, 79, and 76, respectively.
