MIRI, Nov 6: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to attend the party’s Youth convention here on Nov 23.
Miri MP Dr Michael Teo Yu Keng said several Pakatan Harapan leaders and federal Cabinet members have confirmed their attendance to the conference, which expected to attract some 1,000 delegates, guests and participants.
“Orang besar (top leadership) of Pakatan Harapan will be coming for the convention. Miri has been chosen as the host for the event, in conjunction with the party’s 20th anniversary.
“Miri is one of the early town to start the reformation 20 years ago,” he told reporters here today.
Dr Teo said Miri has a special place in PKR history, being one of the first few areas where the party had established a supporters’ base
The convention is scheduled to take place from 1-5pm at Naim Clubhouse, South Lake, Bandar Baru Permyjaya. — DayakDaily
