KUCHING, June 16: The Anglican Columbarium Kuching, a new memorial facility by the Anglican Church Kuching, offers more than 9,500 niches with prices starting from RM7,000 for Anglican church members, providing Christian families with a dedicated space for remembrance and inurnment.
The columbarium features single, double and modified double niches across multiple levels with pricing for Anglican members ranging from RM7,000 to RM20,000 depending on type and placement, while non-members pay between RM8,500 and RM24,000.
Located along McDougall Road in Kuching, the facility is part of the Church’s pastoral care framework, providing a structured alternative to conventional burial while maintaining a sacred setting for memorialisation.
It will offer services such as niche reservation and engraving, alongside support for funeral arrangements and memorial or anniversary services, complemented by amenities including parking, security, cleaning and maintenance.
The opening, initially scheduled for today has been postponed to a later date. — DayakDaily
