KUCHING, June 25: Kuching City South Council (MBKS) will be holding ‘Ramah Tamah Gawai Raya 2019’ this Saturday (June 29) at Dewan Masyarakat, Jalan Padungan, Kuching starting from 11:15am until 2:30pm.
The occasion will be graced by the Governor of Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.
“This occasion is an ideal way to enhance the spirit of cooperation and neighbourliness amongst various communities and to inculcate good family values, volunteerism and friendliness.
“Young, old, working people, senior citizen, children, and adults alike are more than welcome to participate in the half-day event,” ” said MBKS in a statement today.
MBKS pointed out that the occasion will also serve as the perfect platform for people from all walks of life to blend in and mingle together.
“After all, we hope to achieve a friendly neighbourhood that is dependent, unified, and peaceful through this meaningful event.
