KUCHING, April 8: The Ministry of Education (MOE) will automatically offer places in the Matriculation Programme for the 2026/2027 session to all 6,717 candidates who achieve 10A’s and above in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.
In a statement today, the ministry said that the automatic offer applies to all candidates who apply for the programme, regardless of race or background, ensuring top-performing students have guaranteed access to the pre-university pathway.

The ministry also stressed that the existing quota would remain unchanged.
“At the same time, the 90 per cent Bumiputera quota for admission into the matriculation programme remains and is not affected,” it said. — DayakDaily
