KUCHING, Mar 13: Saratok MP Ali Biju, Puncak Borneo MP Willie Mongin and Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How are welcome to join Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) but not Selangau MP Baru Bian.

However, the state-ruling coalition has not extended an invitation to the trio to join GPS, said Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) supreme council member Abdullah Saidol.

He added that GPS was not keen on taking Baru who is also Ba’kelalan assemblyman, to join the fold, as he was deemed to have an indecisive attitude.

“Not Baru Bian. People like See Chee How, Ali and Mongin, they can come if they are interested but of course, this is subject to consensus of presidents from GPS component parties,” he told reporters when met at the Kuching High Court Complex here today.

On GPS’ reluctance to invite Baru into the fold, Abdullah said: “He is so indecisive. He was there, three hours later, he was here.

“That was what CM (Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg) said, he (Baru) was so indecisive. We can’t work with people who can’t make up their minds.”

See, who has always aligned himself with Baru, had recently announced that he an independent elected representative.

Baru who was former Sarawak PKR chief joined former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali who left the party to join Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

While Azmin’s group shifted their support from former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in the recent political power wrangling, Baru went along.

However, Baru in the last minute, went back to support Dr Mahathir, landing him partyless after Muhyiddin became the prime minister.
