KUCHING, Jan 31: AirBorneo is offering a 20 per cent discount on normal fares in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year 2026 celebrations, aimed at making festive travel more affordable for passengers returning home.
The promotion is valid for bookings made from Feb 1 to Feb 5, 2026, with travel dates ranging from Feb 6 through Feb 28, 2026, the Sarawak-owned carrier said in a statement today.
AirBorneo chief executive officer Megat Ardian Wira Mohd Aminuddin said the initiative reflects the airline’s commitment to supporting travellers during peak festive periods.
“This discount reflects our commitment to making homecoming travel more accessible during the festive season,” he said.
Customers can make their bookings through AirBorneo’s official website, call centre, and ticketing counters at airports, subject to terms and conditions.
Currently, AirBorneo operates flights to 21 destinations, playing a vital role in maintaining air connectivity to remote communities across Sarawak and Sabah.
The airline said it plans to continue expanding its network while ensuring the sustainability of its critical Rural Air Services (RAS), which provide essential air links to underserved areas.
AirBorneo officially began commercial operations on Jan 2, 2026, following the completion of its acquisition from MASWings on Jan 1, 2026. — DayakDaily
