AirAsia flights running on schedule despite Tropical Storm Senyar sweeping across Peninsula

KUCHING, Nov 28: AirAsia has confirmed that all its flights are currently operating as scheduled despite Tropical Storm Senyar affecting parts of Peninsular Malaysia from Nov 27 to 29.

The storm, moving towards the western coast, is expected to bring heavy rainfall, strong winds, and unstable weather across states including Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Johor, and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

In a statement on Thursday (Nov 27), AirAsia assured guests that operational measures are in place to support safe and uninterrupted travel.

“The airline is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with relevant authorities to maintain safe flying conditions,” it said.

Passengers travelling to or from affected areas are advised to stay alert as flooding may occur and could impact airport operations.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early at airports and check flight updates through the AirAsia MOVE app, the AskBo chatbot, and their registered email.
