KUCHING, Jan 6: Adverse weather warnings were issued to 16 districts in Sarawak until until 9pm tonight.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in an advisory issued at 5.10pm, said the affected districts are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Pakan, Julau, Sibu, Kanowit, Selangau, Kapit, Song, Bintulu, Tatau, and Limbang.
The department said a thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity of more than 20mm/hour close to or expected to last for more than an hour. — DayakDaily
