KUCHING, Sept 26: Students from Sabah entering Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) for further studies has been postponed to a future date.
Unimas in a statement today said the institution of higher learning has decided to postpone the admission of new and current students from Sabah until a date to be decided in due course.
The institution of higher learning explained that the postponement follows the decision by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) which announced last Thursday that the movement of people from Sabah into Sarawak be tightened effective September 25 as a result of increased cases of Covid-19 in Sabah.
Unimas added the lectures and studies for students involved will be conducted online.
The institution of higher learning said any queries related to the movement of students returning to campus can be referred to the student service centre.
It added any queries regarding lessons and studies can be directed to the respective faculties.Ā āDayakDaily
