KUCHING, May 3: An additional roadblock (SJR) has been deployed along Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman near the Sibu-Bintulu roundabout, as part of efforts to control traveling by Sibu and Sibu Jaya residents.

Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) in a report today said this was decided during a May 31 meeting, in line with the Movement Control Order (MCO) implementation enforced statewide until June 14, 2021.

The roadblock, which started from 8am last Wednesday (June 2), is manned by various enforcement personnel for 24-hour a day, rotating in shifts. It is situated along the two-lane road, about 500 metre from the Sibu-Bintulu roundabout.
