MIRI, Dec 6: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for N.74 Pujut, Adam Yii, said that this election is not about him or the candidates, but it is about the rakyat.
“It’s about their welfare, the neighbourhood infrastructure and amenities, and their environment and quality of life. So I want to focus on these fundamental points,” Yii pointed out.
“This brings us to the point of what I can bring to the people. This is especially so when Pujut has been under DAP (Democratic Action Party) for the last two terms, which is 10 long years of absolute neglect and abandonment,” Yii said.
He added, in the course of this campaign, he will present his vision and plans for the betterment of the constituency.
“And I trust the vision and plans will be well received by the rakyat,” he said.
“I expect the campaign to be carried out in an orderly manner. It should be a contest on who can bring better livelihood and environmental improvements,” Yii said.
He hoped that the rakyat would make a wise choice this time.
“The rakyat deserves better,” he said after handing in his forms today. ― DayakDaily
