Researchers, scientists, scholars, practitioners, students and participants of the conference are welcome to submit their abstract and apply for the conference scholarships via https://www.asiaflux2022.com/.

Important dates to facilitate the submission process and subsequent follow-up process.

The AsiaFlux Conference 2022 is set to return to Sarawak on Sept 20 to 22 with in-person attendance after a two-year pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The three-day highly specialised conference is organised by Malaysia Peat Society (MPS) and AsiaFlux Scientific Steering Committee in collaboration with the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) Japan, Hokkaido University, Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and Malaysia Agriculture Research and Development Institute (Mardi), and supported by the Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB).

AsiaFlux is a regional research network bringing together scientists and researchers from universities and institutions in Asia to study the exchanges of carbon dioxide, water vapor, and energy between terrestrial ecosystems and the atmosphere across daily to inter-annual time scales.

From there, scientific data is generated, which will then be analysed, and used to develop a science-based land-use policy to support land-use management and biomass production in mitigating climate change, human life and sustainable development in Asia.

The main aim of this Conference is to act as a platform to create awareness to the government, the industries, and the people, especially potential young scientists from South East Asia such as Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, on the importance of GHG Cycling in guiding sustainable land use policies in the region.

Meanwhile, the registration date to be part of the Conference is open until July 30, 2022.
