KUCHING, Jan 11: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has been highly praised for his leadership over the past five years that has not only taken Sarawak to greater heights, but given clarity of purpose to State leaders and elected representatives.
Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah heaped praises on Abang Johari for his superb leadership over Sarawak and its people.
“The leadership of our Chief Minister has brought our State and the people to greater heights.
“This is reflected in achieving the State’s development agenda with the goal to establish Sarawak as a developed State by 2030,” he said.
He highlighted this in a statement today in conjunction with Abang Johari’s fifth anniversary as the Chief Minister of Sarawak.
The Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development added that Abang Johari’s vision and experienced leadership has motivated the Cabinet members to continue working together to achieve the desired development goals.
“This includes delivering what the GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak) government has promised to our people,” he added.
Abdul Karim pointed out that Abang Johari has also provided clarity of purpose among the elected representatives.
“He had motivated and guided our leaders to close ranks in realising people-centric aspiration,” he said.
On Jan 13, Abang Johari, the sixth Chief Minister of Sarawak will mark his fifth anniversary in office. — DayakDaily
